Ti (Titaniumu) Compound

Titanium features low specific gravity, remains highly stable as an oxide, and is highly resistant to corrosion.
Since we started dealing in mineral sands in 1952 for the first time in Japan, we at Iwatani have been involved in the mineral sands business as the industry-leading company. We have been supplying titanium materials for a wide variety of applications including pigments, titanium metals, and welding.

Natural Rutile : TiO2

天然ルチール

Natural rutile consists mainly of TiO2 (titanium dioxide), which constitutes approximately 95%. It is used as a raw material of titanium oxide, titanium metals, and welding. At Iwatani, we deal in natural rutile from Australia and South Africa.

Leucoxene sand / Leucoxene flour

Leucoxene is a natural mineral product that consists mainly of TiO2 (titanium dioxide). It is used as a raw material of pigments. At Iwatani, we deal in leucoxene sand from Australia and South Africa and flour made by grinding leucoxene sands in Japan.

Ilmenite consists mainly of TiO2, which constitutes approximately 50% to 60%. It is used mainly as a raw material of titanium oxide.

Synthetic Rutile

Synthetic rutile is a titanium raw material, whose TiO2 purity is heightened by refining ilmenite (FeO, TiO2) as a natural mineral product.
At Iwatani, we deal in synthetic rutile produced in Malaysia.

Titanium Slag

Titanium slag is a titanium raw material, whose TiO2 purity is heightened by melting and refining ilmenite (FeO, TiO2) as a natural mineral product with an electric furnace.
At Iwatani, we deal in titanium slag produced in South Africa and Canada.

We deal in a product from OSAKA Titanium Technologies Co., Ltd.
Titanium tetrachloride is an intermediate in the manufacture of sponge titanium.
We also suggest titanium tetrachloride aqueous solution, which is made by diluting titanium tetrachloride with highly pure water for use with ordinary laboratory equipment.
